Let’s talk mini photoshoots!
Photoshoots that are mini on time. Quick, effective, full of love, and deeply intentional. As a photographer, mini sessions serve such a beautiful purpose (for both of us). They invite presence. They ask us to savor the moments we do have together.
For clients, mini sessions honor your time and your investment in a different way. You receive a shorter session at a lower price, while still receiving the same care, artistry, and direction as a full shoot. In those 20–30 minutes, we truly make the most of every second — drawing out connection, laughter, and moments that tell your story.
So why do they feel more intentional? Because mini sessions challenge me, in the best way. They ask me to steward our time together with clarity and purpose. I always enter a session ready, but when time is limited, that readiness becomes even more vital. I’m fully “on” — present, observant, and attuned.
This past week, I hosted mini sessions for couples at Boise Urban Studio in downtown Boise, Idaho, and I was reminded of these truths all over again. Held the weekend before Valentine’s Day, the afternoon felt like a celebration of love — playful and joyful!
I left feeling so grateful for a space that held such beautiful light, and for the sweet couples who trusted me to document their love in a mini, meaningful window of time.
Below is a collection of images from this day — moments held intentionally by yours truly.
Until the next page,
Elizabeth Ann
